Contamination Identified on Automotive Part
An automotive parts supplier was experiencing a high failure rate of a seal
against an aluminum housing. We analyzed residue from bad samples, identified
contaminant residue, helped determine the source, and analyzed parts after a
new cleaning procedure was implemented to make sure the contamination was
effectively removed. As a result of this analysis the customer's part failure
rate was drastically reduced.
